A thorough understanding of policies that shape aquatic environmental protection

We have undertaken work for Government & NGOs across a range of industry sectors and developments, including Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs).
We regularly advise on matters that affect the aquatic environment and THA personnel have influenced regulatory policy relating to environmental protection measures.

We have worked extensively with a number of national and local Government & NGOs and Third Sector organisations.

Drawing on a wealth of experience gained from former careers in the regulatory, industrial and consultancy sectors, we support clients in their legal and statutory responsibilities to protect aquatic biota from water intakes and infrastructure.
Key members of the THA Aquatic team have been instrumental in the development of ‘best practice’ in cooling water systems and screening design and co-authored a number of significant Environment Agency and industry publications.
Our well-established relationships with regulators enables us to quickly identify and respond to planned changes in legislation and policy. Working closely with regulators, we can leverage our long-term relationships to ensure any scope of work is fit for purpose, meeting both client and regulator requirements.
